Craft - quilting at craft cub

Just got back from a fab evening at craft club - a mixture of quilting and crochet, with wine, cake and lovely friends. We're making progress on our  group club quilt (the colours aren't quite right in the picture - the sashing is a gorgeous vibrant pink) -

I am quite inspired to start my own quilt, but it feels like the sort of project I'd need to devote a few reasonably large chunks of time to, so I might stick with crochet for the time being (at least till the next couple of blankets are finished).

  1. I always want to make a quilt, but the time commitment always puts me off! They do look brilliant; what are the group going to do with the quilt afterwards? Perhaps you should hold a quilting bee with them and see if you can make a quilt in a weekend?

    1. It's been lovely making it with a group - and has real helped me understand the process. We're still discussing what to do with it ...

  2. a group quilt is a lovely idea, I tried to start one with a group I used to go to, but it didn't come off, perhaps I'll try and organize an online one x
don't feel put off making one of your own, they do take time, but they don't need to be rushed x

    1. An online one sounds like a great idea. I'm definitely going to make my own - but I think I'll wait till a couple of other things are finished first (I may have said this before about new projects!)

I'm not sure if anyone reads this. But if you do, and you'd like to comment, I'd get very excited. And would try to reply. Thanks!
